Questions

Chimney cleaning questions

How often should a chimney be cleaned?
Have a wood-burning chimney inspected once a year and cleaned when buildup calls for it. Gas fireplaces need a yearly check too.
Is chimney cleaning messy?
It shouldn't be. The hearth and floor are covered, and soot is contained and taken away.
Do you clean gas fireplaces?
Yes. Gas units still need the flue, logs and burner area checked and cleaned.
When is the best time to book?
Spring and summer usually have the most open appointments. Book before fall to beat the rush.
